Does anyone make a gurdle for the protege? the plate that connects all the crank caps together. I think that is what its called anyway, I know they made them for the 1.8 miatas but was curios if they made one for ours. If not is it the same distance between the caps so I can use the miata one?

The FSZE cams won't make much power above 7k rpms. So no need for a gurdle. Hondas have many cams for high power output which requires them.
If your still worried about bending the crank, try a 1.8L crank and destroke the engine.

What are you talking about de-stroking? Your engine has a block girdle already. Every MSP, Protege, 626, etc. that has a Fs/De 2.0l comes with a block girdle.
