we own msp's, not civics or eclipse's/talons. And our cars are FWD they don't benefit from wings.

FWD cars can benefit from wings and other downforce components. It's not a matter of drivetrain, it's a matter of application. I'm confused on the grouping of Civics and DSM's though. (uhm)

Street cars do not need the additional downforce, no. Their best form of downforce (and all they really need) comes from the hood and windshield.

Psssst. your car as a large non-functional wing on the back of it. ;)

My wing is kinda big but i like. Its the Wings West Skyliner. Its made for our car so it fits perfect.

pick up the lastest sport compact car magazine and read the project miata article. They added a huge carbon fiber wing and trunk to the car to give it more high speed stability. The result? They gained like 2.7 mph in the slalom and said the entire car felt more planted and sure footed at high speeds. Its not rice if its there to serve a purpose. I'm strongly considering puting an aftermarket lightweight wing on my car after reading the article. I've felt that the MSP is much too twitchy above 100mph.

wanna bet, a functional spoiler will help cornering...... the ww one does help.... i took mine off and my ass end wants to slide more, a spoiler does help fwd with handling...... wanna prove me wrong? i will have a test if anybody wants to show a spoiler wont help a fwd........................

wingless is the way to go, although i haven't yet because my car is fawked for the moment, but it's gettins semi played out... i was looking to go with like a little tiny lip wing such as on the M3
