If you have an aftermarket clutch you voided your warranty.

If you have an aftermarket clutch you voided your warranty. Not true...When clutchs wear out,you CAN replace them without voiding your warranty. The dealer does not have to install it.

if it is the lsd and the dealer wont do it under warranty how much will it cost?

ha my car is doing the EXACT same thing... my dealer tried to void my warenty when i was bone stock just because i had replaced the tires... im willing to bet its the differential in wich case you have 3 options.

1.) OEM Mazdaspeed - will break again (im about to be putting in my 3rd one)
2.) OEM Mazdaspeed Welded - ive heard good things about this however you need to find an amazing welder otherwise it will be off balance- run a search for this
3.) Quaife - this is the best idea but very expensive, thus the reason i dont have it.

what is the quaife and how much is it? how much is the oem?

so all i have to do is replace the lsd and the tranny is ok? will the quaife stronger?

Quaife is definetly stronger but I beleive it costs in excess of $1500 just for the LSD

Buy a Quaife and never have to replace it again. If you do, its warrantied by Quaife for life. But do try to get it warrantied.

If thats not the biggest crock of shit I ever heard!
Oh wait...I see you have replaced your tires with a far inferior set to the OEM bridgestones. This caused a losss of traction with the pavement and caused excess wear and tear on the LSD unit...Therefore we will have to void your warranty!

If I heard some shit like that I would really just haul off and punch someone for being that dumb to try to pull shit like that...God...People these days.

well I remember reading on the little "pamphlet" that was on the drivers side sun shade that you should use a diff size wheel due to the LSD, maybe thats what they're trying to pull....

you don't need to find a amazing good welder, you just need someone with good expierience woth a TIG.
if you guys are having a hard time finding a suitable welder, let me know,I can have our nieghboring machine shop do it(one of the best TIG welders I have ever seen)I have a lot of friends that weld, and I still bring everything important to him.
there would be a fee of course.

That would depend on what type of clutch it was replaced with.
If it was an oem replacement there wouldn't be a issue. If has a bright yellow act there may be.

A stock MSP LSD from the factory is around 700$.

yeah, you got to think about the fact that a aftermarket clutch that has more clamping force it WILL put more stress on the LSD,and if they pull it apart, and see the yellow PP they will deny the warrentee, and justfully so.

I wouldn't warent a LSD that has some thing I can directly link to the problem.

It may not be the lsd, when my tranny went it did the exact samething as his did and it was my transmission not the lsd.
