I got new wheels, 18x7.5 w/ a 42offset(i know i screwed up here)... I had Tein S-techs waiting, but i found out this setup was not going to work!

Now I sold the s-techs and the gap is killing me. I know tein just came out w/ h-techs, but i still think the front will rub... Any other choice I got??

Eibach sportline-hell no prokit-probably not
Tein s-tech-nope h-tech-maybe
Progress - maybe
H&R - what is the drop on these
????(i know there is one more spring out there, but it's a 2in drop for both front and back...) - hell no

NO COILOVERS <TOO expensive>

either get some adjustable coilovers... or, if you want the drop THAT bad... get some new shoes. theres always the MazdaSpeed drop that's like .15mm drop! (cryhard)

yeah....i LOVE my eibach. And why wont the other ones work?
edit - just saw the 42 offset.....you could do what I did and get your wheels machined to a different offset. Mine were 42 and machined to a 47

I would love to have some eibachs! Uhm... I'm guessing you think I have something against eibachs since I said hell no to sportlines?? The only reason I said hell no is due to the 2" drop.

Where could I go to change my offset?? Never heard of this procedure before...

I love my 2 inch drop.....takes some getting used to, and I cant go in certain parking lots, but oh well! I am actually not sure where to do it because perfectlyround.com shipped them there for me

You also said "probably not" on the pro-kit, so I was just wondering. Anyway, you're not going to find a set of springs with less than a 1.25" drop. Even if you do, there's really no point.

Any competent machine shop should be able to change your offset. All you need is a Bridgeport to remove some material from the inside of the hub. Call around to some of your local custom shops and see if they know anybody.

shit if that all it is i could do it... though would prob have to rig up some sort of clamp thing to hold a big ass wheel on the milling machine... there has to be machine shops in your area and if you just want to remove 5mils from each wheel i don't see how that would be a prob...

actually they prob used a some sort of lathe.. i see a real prob tryin to get down into the wheel hub to remove material without damaging it.... or a cnc... millling machine may be a bit hard...

how much did/will it cost? (rough estimate will be helpful)

i would think a custom job like that...1-2bills.... though i would deffinatly make sure they understand how important it is not to scratch them up and to make sure the mounting surface is flat... i would inspect them before and after with some one there... if the mounting surface isn't flat you will be f'd...

if i remember correctly, it was either $30 or $35 per wheel

thats great... you need to tell them that you need to have 5 millimeters taken off the inside of your mounting area on all 4 of your wheels... you may need to remove the tires to do this...??? not sure though....

i was thinking about that... damn more money out the drain...
