Whats up guys?

I got a 2001 Blue MP3 that I autox and ready to mod it up. I am making a lip/downforce spoiler for the car out of fiber glass. It is a flat sheet that goes under the front bumper to the wheels(not touching) It will have 2 vent holes for brake ducts. The purpose... While air flows under the car, it tends to go up be hind the bumper and push the car up, This part will cover under that hole to allow the car to be sucked to the ground since the air wont be going up. It helps out with downforce on the front tires. I WILL have photos as soon as I can, We will be testing it out at autoX on the 18th, If it is down, If not we will be testing it in oct. If this works out, Is anyone interested in buying the part for maybe $150 including bolts, I will make this very easy to install. Sorry for the rambling. haha

You won't notice any difference in front down force at autox speeds. It'll just look good and maybe cool the brakes if you route it properly, which also usually isn't an issue. You should be weary of what your mods will do to which class you will be legal for.

yea the structure was named after a scientist with the last name of Gauche. First one to observe the characteristic.

welcome though, mp3's have always been one of the best looking sport compact around in my opinion.

Its not really my car, its my buddys, but I autoX this car and help him out with it a lot, I am here to learn a ton about these cars and hope to have one in the future. Once I build the proto of this part I will post it and how well it does. Josh hows your car doing? I like it a lot.

My car is doing okay. But I do have the intake manifold problem that seems to have creeped up on all of the 2.0 FS-DE engines so far. I will have to take my intake manifold off and see exactly if I can fix it or not.
