I had it... it was the second mod to my msp.

It definitely works, it smooths out the acceleration of an untuned msp quite a bit. The only drawback is if you are both flashed and start to push a lot of power, then you are running a higher risk of running lean and popping the motor.

If you are running less than 9psi, then get it and don't think twice... great cheap little mod.

I'm flashed and I've been using it for over a year now. It does as 505zoom said and the are no problems whatsoever. Mind you I'm mostly at stock boost but I've used it up to 8.5 psi w/o probs.

I used it with the flash too, and didn't have any problems with it when I was lightly modded and running about 9psi. I just don't reccomend it once you start pushing big numbers without EMS because at that point you NEED all the extra fuel that the msp dumps at WOT.

does getting your car flashed cost money? do you just take it to a dealer and they will do it?

Mazda dealerships that didn't get mazdaspeed certification will NOT do warranty work on our cars. They will be denied when they try to have mazda cover their expenses for parts and/or labor, so most of the time if you take your car to a non mazdaspeed dealer they will just turn you away.

You will have to make the hour long trip to the other dealer.

and i was just wondering how long does it take the dealership to do this?

hasnt the joep FPR been known to lean out cylinder #4? I think it was BrianMP5T that warned me of that when i was gonna put mine on..

I pulled mine off after getting the reflash because I didn't have any way of monitoring what was going on. It' been sitting in a box and I'd like to put it back on, but I'd like to know exactly how much it leans it out. I'm running ~7psi, so it's probably not a big deal, but I'm a worry wort.
