This may not be that new to some of you that already have the OEM 17’s, but to those that have the 15” OEM rims and wanna upgrade to 17’s.. here’s some pics if you were wondering what it might look like.

Just wondering, how much did those cost? If you got them from the dealer, I'm sure they were soooo expensive and I just wondered why you got those as opposed to new wheels. I'm curious.
Looks good, though. It needs a drop!!! :)

Well I got them for $350 US (ebay), but I did go to the dealer and asked how much they were... he said they were $500 CAD EACH ($2000 for the set)... so thanks, but no thanks.
I wanted to go aftermarket (and I might in the future), but I just couldn't find any wheels out there that 'I' thought were nice ... The only nice ones out there were just waaaay too expensive and/or didn't have the correct offset, and all the cheaper ones were just not to my liking. I like the OEM ones cause they're simple and nothing flashy, and most importantly.. they have the right offset..ahah..
Anyway, I am saving a little money so I can buy some of those 'expensive' ones next year (or later), but for now, I'm happy with these.
oh and yes.. I know it needs a drop, there are some Tein's on the way.. :)

i think you should have gone with the 18" OEM from the RX8 and put 40s on that baby.
just my opinion. i guess if you started from 15" then 17" is a +2 and +3 maybe a bit too much.
loogs good though, good choice on the Kumhos

Yeah, that would have been sweet, but I'm not sure how my 2.0L would handle it...
I tell ya, even right now with these 17's it feels a bit slugish at times...
I heard that these OEM 17" are some of the heaviest rims out there...
I weighed the rims, and my old wheel+tire combo weighed 37lbs, my new 17"wheel+tire combo weighed 42.5lbs..
So I basicly gained 5.5lbs on each wheel..
i got 18's on mine and it seems fine

thats about right for the oem 17+tire... didn't realize it was that much of a wieght diff though 5.5lbs per wheel should be noticable.. .i remember reading that 5lbs at each corner should be able to be felt on the butt dyno...
