so every morning when i head out, the idiot brake light on the cluster lights up

thee doesn't seem to be any dragging going on, but it takes 6-8 hard braking to get rid of the light, and/or have to yank the e-brake all the way twice and/or even stop, go into reverse for 5ft or so, then forward again

even after all that, sometimes it won't go away for 8-12 miles of driving

this can also happen at other times of the day

on hard braking i can feel a pulsing, which i assume is the ABS kicking in and the idiot brake light will stay lit until i let off after i'm stopped

there also seems to be a very slight bit more acceleration when the light is off compared to on and there seems to be a very slight wobble in hard enough braking which doesn't seem to be the ABS - but it's hard to tell

once it's been warmed up after driving all day (i do a LOT of driving...) the problem doesn't come back until the next day

29k on teh clock, 2.0, a/t "sport-shift", '03 MP5 (built in 07/02??wth?)

anyone else ever hear of this problem or know what it might be?

check brake fluid levels. our car brake sensors go on if it detects a drop in brake fluid. if they arent pretty much filled, fill it until it is. the light should go away.
