View Full Version : 3rd gen stock muffler needed.

Does anyone here have their stock axle-back for a 3rd gen protege. I need one to replace my fireball style exhaust. I going to return my car to stock, i sort of lost interest in the car since its so slow and i'm a college student. It is my daily commuter car and slowly parting things out to suit the commute. So if anyone has one laying around and what to get rid of it let me know. Also send me some pics of its condition.

too bad that I threw my stock axle back a while ago when I got my mp3 axle back, otherwise I would just give you the stock one for free.

p5 axleback is shorter than sedan one.....might have fitment issues

Its short, would have to modify and weld. Rather bolt on thanks anyways.

Thanks anyways. Oh well, The car is completely stock now except for the wheels, and exhaust and shifter. I would get more for the trade if it had the stock muffler. I'm working a deal to trade in the protege for a Scion Tc. So anyone else have one????

Scion Tc eh? How you like the car? Did you test drive it yet? what are your thoughts?

My friend has one. I love everything in that car BESIDES clutch. Grabs gears in a very weird manner. Although SEATS are friggin great in it!

Yup, i had it my protege. I really like it. I test driven, i really like it. The only thing i dont like was the gauge cluster. Might see if i can bargin with the dealer to throw in the TRD supercharger.

hehe S/C would be nice! I think there's already Turbo market for tC

Yes there is turbo systems available. running high 12's on the 1/4 mile, but forgot @ what psi. The TRD supercharger won't void the warrantey, and you can finance the supercharger.

yea thats the beauty of that S/C.....dealer covers it under warranty

i have stock shifter, but i think i tossed the exhaust...i'll have to ask my parents about it because thats my self-storage ;)
i will give you the stock shifter with knob for $10 shipped. if i can find the exhaust, i'll let you know.

Thanks, i actually have the stock shifter and stock knob, but i been to lazy to put it back. My stock knob is all messed up, the letter are faded. how much for just the knob and what color is it and its condition. Let me know on the exhaust too.
