Well, yesterday I finally went into a muffler shop here in Toronto (Zoro's) to get my Brullen Exhaust looked at (as Brullen has gone out of business). I have noticed lately that when my car has warmed up my exhaust tone sounded different (and by the sounds of it, I knew there was a leak somewhere)
Anyhow, at Zoro's they hoisted it up and found a hair line crack on the underneath of the Exhaust Manifold (It can be only seen when hoisted up and I did not have a camera with me to take a pic). They said it's repairable, but I wanted to wait and ask if there is any other solution or advice.
1) Is it okay just to patch it up by welding the crack?
2) Should I buy another OEM Exhaust Manifold? (I have a 1.6L engine and there is NO Headers for this car anyway... so I'm stuck with OEM)
This would have been a perfect time for the 1.6L Turbo kit to go on sale now (I wish!), but with the cheap Canadian dollar it's not worth it.
