How to remove wiper cover

I have a strange rattle going on that I think is from something I dropped into the holes by the base of windshield wipers. I would like to remove the plastic cover that goes across the windshield, but I can't tell how it is being attached. I only see a single screw on each side, but it feels like it's held down along the length of it by something. I'd rather not break anything trying to yank it off. I had a 12mm box wrench and I couldn't loosen the nut on the wipers either, that bitch is on there tight.

nevermind, it was the evap solenoid, I recently relocated to that area, but that thing clicks on and off like a machine gun. So when it's mounted to the frame, it reverberates like nuts, suprisingly loud for a solenoid.
