Hey guys i am new to the forum. I have owned my 2000 protege for 1 1/2 years and now it is starting to shake violently between 90 km/h and 110 km/h. I know it is possibly the wheel alignment option, but i seriously think it something else. it is coming from the right side of the car, and i do need to replace my stabilizer bushing on the left side. ANY IDEAS BOYS / GIRLS?????
Is it worht the effort to go to performance struts for the protege?
And can anyone give size info for rims that fit our cars???

You don't need an alignment you need your wheels balanced.

My 1999 Protege did this too when I first put on my 17" rims. I also thought that there was something really wrong, but it turned out that Kal-Tire (who installed my rims) didn't balance them correctly. Just took it back to them and told them what was happening and they re-balanced them for me for free. Solved the 'shaking' problem.
