Hi everyone – I posted this as a reply to a similar issue, but think maybe it was in the wrong area for my Mazda3 – Posting it here as a new issue. Sorry for the redundancy.
I have a new Mazda3 5-door SP23 and it has been great so far.
However, I hear something similar to what you mentioned as well, but it sounds more like a high-pitched squeak, or rattle – almost like a chirping sound when the accelerator is depressed and running on an slightly rough surface. What I hear doesn’t seem to be associated with the pedal movement, but when depressed, it seems to allow the squeak to occur when the conditions are right – if that makes sense.
If anyone thinks this is something they have noticed or is normal, please let me know.
