Well I cant seem to make up my mind whether to get a cf trunk or to just go wingless on the stock oem trunk. Im planning on getting a cf hood and I already have a cf grille. What do you think? Here are some pics I found of both. BTW my car is titanium too

I know those aren't of your car, but aren't the license plate light covers upside down on the CF pic?

their is a c/f cover that is not installed on the c/f trunk pic. i put my stock black cover on it. i vote c/f trunk with your stock silver light cover for contrast. but that is just me.

im not a fan of either the cf trunk or wingless....the cf trunk just looks out of place and plain ugly.....i guess i would say go wingless then even though you will look like a regular protege now.

if your car was black, i'd say 100% stock with no wing. I'm a HUGE fan of wingless black trunks. but anything aside from that, IMO CF would look better if you want to take off the wing.

CF trunk + wing. Maybe even a non-MSP OE wing.
I think these cars need a wing of some sort.

well I'm thread jacking and saying that I think mine would look good with the MP3 style spoiler instead of the 03.5 it has, anyone else think the titanium with the MP3 style wing would look good? Otherwise, I say stock, wingless...and for the love of god fill in the holes...it may take time to do it, but so long as you promise you will eventually fill the holes..do it/

I have thought about it also

Too much carbon fiber in my opinion. I think body color would look best on a carbon trunk. Did you mean OEM MSP or non MSP wing in CF?
This wing is very similar to the 03.5- MSP wing. I never got dimensions for this to see if it'd work on the Protege.....

It's intended use, yes.

hmm well I guess now the question is where to get a cf trunk? Does JSP still make them cause I heard they stopped? And VIS I dont know about the quality!

I would never use a VIS product on my car.
JSP made them a few months back when I was in contact with them... They didn't mention anything about stopping production.

1) I don't like cf trunks, unless you do the cf stripe effect from the hood (get a cf hood), roof (get a cf roof made), and the cf trunk.
2) in my opinion, wingless MSP's are only acceptable if your car is appropriately dropped (best examples of slammed wingless MSP's = DiscreetSpeed and mx3ownjoo)

I don't like wingless proteges or CF trunks. If you wanted wingless, why didn't you buy a regular protege and slap a MAM turbo kit on there? The CF trunks are just out of place and ricey if you ask me. I don't want to diss anybody's tastes, but that is my opinion. To each their own.

thats cool, you are right, could have bought a regular protege and had a wingless one. i would have kept the wing if i wasn't hit by a van and had it ripped off. i wanted the car back and didn't feel like waiting for another 3 weeks for the wing to get to the body shop so i didn't have them put it on, best thing i ever did lol

That was my plan actually... The body color latch cover and all.
That looks really good like that. It's not an over used a mount of carbon fiber as where a trunk and wing both in CF would be.

Low and behold we have an Impreza guy here at HPF who's changing his week (or plans to in the future at least).
Once he gets his stuff figured out I will compare the Sub wing to my trunk lid.
