The Kia Magentis SEOUL, South Korea — South Korean Kia Motors has announced the next-generation Kia Magentis (known as the Optima in North America) will be unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

The new Magentis/Optima rides on a 107-inch wheelbase, with a basic architecture shared with its more luxurious sibling, the new Hyundai Sonata. The new sedan's overall length is 186.4 inches, and features a more elegant and classy exterior than its predecessor. Kia is aiming to please both European and North American customers, so separate design studios were involved in the development process.

In Europe there will be two as yet unspecified gasoline engines and one diesel. The active and passive safety system of the vehicle has been enhanced by adding ABS and ESP stability control, rear parking sensors, front, side and curtain airbags, and anti-whiplash front-seat head restraints.

Its a rebadge Sonata!
