Meet in Septmeber

I've been talking to Erik and we thought it would be fun to get together next month(september) sometime for a barbecue or something like that. Let me know what you guys think and when and where to do it and we'll see what we can get going. Erik said he can work his schedule around about anytime and weekends work best for me, doesn't matter which one.

Well, one things for sure, if there are only gonna be 3 people at the BBQ the beer will definately be cheap. Come on guys, when I was gauging interest about getting the club back together I got more response than this and now that Erik and I are trying to make things happen no one wants to do anything??? What's that all about?

Well, lets just make it like the 1st of Oct. I can't do the 23d and 24th. There will be a post stating where and when. Its open to anyone who would like to come.

Officially, MWM isn't just for Mazdas anymore so anyone with any car come out and have some BBQ fun.

MWM will most likely change its name but not sure yet on what.

I never planned on getting rid of my P5 but sometimes ya have to do things you don't want.

Oh and on the Beer note, bring sum please.

All you guys have to do is let me know what's up and where you would like to have it. I don't know Omaha real well so it's up to you guys. I'll be there pending the price of gas and whether or not my pocket book has been completely drained yet or not. Just let me know.

P.S. By the way, I heard people are boycotting Exxon/Mobile and that it is supposed to last the week of Sept. 5-9. So no one by gas from them that week. Also try not to buy any from anywhere else, try and make them all hurt. Buy gas only if you absolutely have to. Spread the word around to as many people as you can.

if i can make it i'll chip in for beer! if you say anyone with a car can be there, i can see that i get some people there. depending on where we go and how we go about this 'meet' i can possibly get enough people there to satisfy everyone. but like always, the earlier i know, the easier it will be.

Hey guys, the 1st of October ain't looking so hot for me. If you guys are able, can we re-schedule to the weekend of Oct. 14. I got fall break that weekend and can be in Omaha from the night of the 14th till the afternoon of the 18th, so anywhere in there will work great for me. Let me know what you guys think. We are still looking for a place to have this thing so if anyone know's of anywhere speak up. I'm down for Corona's also but will drink almost anything and am glad to pitch in. When we figure out when and where we'll decide what needs to be down for food also. Everyone can bring something we'll just have to decide what and whose bringing it. Let Erik or I know, let's get this thing going.

As for the get together, lets make the date for Oct 15th (SAT) say 3pm till whenever.
As for where, someone more familiar with Omaha, please pick a central location. Preffereable some where we can BBQ, drink, play football or whatever else we want.

I would really like us all to just hang out and have a good time. So please, if you are interested please RSVP just so we can have a head count.

OK so we have the date set as Saturday, October 15. As for a place, I think that a park that has an outdoor grill or a place similar to that would work out well. Does anyone know where there is a park in Omaha that we could BBQ, drink, and do whatever else we wanted to at? Preferably a place where our rides aren't gonna get shot up !!!(rofl)

Anyways we have 3 p.m. to whenever on Saturday, October 15 at a currently undisclosed location. Any ideas post it up or PM Erik or I. Let's get this thing rolling and make it happen.

Maybe for those not familiar with where that is, we should all meet at a local spot ( like sonics or someplace close to that) then cruise to the base picnic area. ( honestly I don't recall where it is either )

I believe SONIC was mentioned earlier....there is a SONIC at the CORNHUSKER RD. exit off from the JFK Freeway (HWY 75). From there, you just go east. CORNHUSKER RD. turns into HARVELL Dr. and finally into FRANKLIN St. as you enter OLD TOWN Bellevue. At MISSION Ave. you turn left one block to HANCOCK St. then right (south) to the Base Lake entrance (about 2.5 miles).
