Ok i am still saving up for the kit from Hiboost...I got A price from Wiseco on some pistons....but i cant find any rods!!!! Are the rods on the 2.0L Duratec the same as the ones on the Focus 2.0L?? Please help!!!!!

those will fit but its a higher compression ratio then you would want, but i would think with talking to them you may be able to figure something out, or at least get put on the right track...

Why would you want the high compression? the stock compression should be good. (10.0:1) cosworth=(12.0:1) realy high compression not good for moderate to high boost.

He needs rods, guys, not pistons. Pistons determine the compression ratio, not rods.

Ah, Juan should know how strong the stock rods are, he is trying them out with turbo... Perhaps he'll have more ideas on the compatibity as no doubt he is looking into thats stuff for his kit.

yea i know he is but i wanna not have to worry...besides.......i will get much lower compression if i get new pistons and rods......i've already found that wiesco will make the pistons.....just wanted to know if the specs on the 2.oL Duratec on the focus has the EXACT same rods....if they do i found a company that makes them

i don't think the focus runs the 2.0 duratec? it runs the Ztec as stated, so i wouldn't count on the exact same parts. best bet would be to check out focaljet.com or even email Ken over at Cosworth as they have both MZR engines in right now.

If the motor is in fact a duratec 2.0 liter, then they are the same.
