Possible AC Leak?

A friend of mine has a 2000 1.6 liter protege. He called me today and said that he found that the passenger floor was all soaked. He thinks maybe the ac is leaking and is causing the passenger floor to become wet. I am not familiar with the 1.6 engine so all the input counts.

i would say that it is probably the heater core and/or the hoses connected to it that are leaking...does it smell like coolant?

There's a drain hose under the blower motor unit that is located underneath the glove box. I'd check that to see if there are any cracks in it.
