I have a Black Mica 2003 MSP, its comes stock w/ this lil rinky dink front lip that looks embarassing. I'm switching it to something with a lil more edge and a kicking look to it. My two options would be the 03.5 lip or the DGM, I'm liking both just wanted to hear some input on people who might have them or experience the same drama with that stupid lip i have now. I mean they both look amazing when done right only thing w/ the 03.5 i would lose my stock fogs and have to swtich to different size, but just wanted to get an outsiders view Thanks guys!

I may have a third for you. The world speed challenge protege front wind splitter. Its a functional piece not just for looks.

the dg doesnt look out of place without sides etc if you ask me. go for the DG and be different from other MSPs.
Just realize that you will have to slightly modify your driving habits. Our cars have a looonnng nose. Offroaders call it a low aproach angle. I'd like to start a poll to find out how many days (or hours!) it took for us DG lip owners to fark up their paint. Going in at an angle on steep driveways helps out, but even at stock height, you will not clear parking blocks. Upside is that you only see the worst carnage during an oil change. Once I grind mine all the way down, I'm gonna replace it with the 2003.5 MSP lip - more clearance (just wish I could keep my stock fogs). As far as the 3rd choice (AWR splitter) - super cool, but I'd feel like I was running around with my nuts hanging below the front bumper (at least that's what it would look like on my face every time I smacked it on something).

both my DG lips got farked, but the first wasnt my fault and the second wasnt even really driving, just stupidity.
1) i was driving from OK to AZ and in a construction zone several days after a big rain...one of those deals where the concrete is on your immediate left and right with no shoulder. a TT ahead hit a bump and a large clump of dried mud fell off, right in the middle of the road. my lip didnt clear it and i had no where to go to swerve around it and traffic was 75mph+ behind me.
2) i was pulling into a parking spot and didnt realize there was a concrete stopper thing there and royally fucked my CF lip. this is odd because normally i would be safe enough to have my ass end hanging out of a spot rather than come close to the barrier, but i was arguing with my fiance at the time and wastn paying attn.

thinking im going w/ the 03.5 Lip b/c it seems it gives people less problems and more smooth look to it.

well, i've had both the DG lip, and the 03.5 lip, and i've liked them both. I liked the 03.5 lip because it looked really good with the stock MSP sideskirts and rear lip. It was even on all sides from front to back, and the front wasn't a lot lower than the rear.
But when i had the DG look, i liked how the front end looked with the DG. However, i had to be more carefuly of my driving, since the front end was a lot lower compared the DG.
It all depends on your driving habits, and how you see each lip. I personally liked the 03.5 lip more because it gave a little more character to the front bumper, than a DG that just makes the front end slammed. Also, hawaii roads suck, so i had easier time with the 03.5 lip on.

i wish there was some other options... bringing back a thread from months past... any new ones?
Edit: would these give the same effect as the 03.5 lip on a black msp with the 03 lip (well... lack there of)
