View Full Version : 13b Miata gets FMC of the month

Hay, I'm new to this forum and went to the Florida Stete meet in Daytona. Most of the cars were Proteges but It was open to all Mazdas. Several rx-7's showed up but I was the only Miata. Anyway My car was picked for the Mazda of the month on FloridaMazdaClub.com. I was amazed with so many nice cars at the meet. (alright)

Dammit why couldn't this of been like 2 years ago. I graduated a tech school in Orlando. Sept 03 was my last month there.

Time to get that front bumper painted though. Even the bad ass engine can not excuse you from having unpainted body parts installed, haha. Very, very, very badass car though.

I know I'm still fitting the side skirts and wing. Then the paint. I had the car down for 8 weeks doing the "V" mount IC and radiator and could not stand not driving anymore.

you shouldn't put any body kit parts on it, keep the body stock and it will be a true sleeper :)

Hey,
If you can say it, how much is it for that kit ? (With engine included) approximately. I got a '91 BRG Miata and it's my dream to do the same thing as you ! Another question, do you know if the 13b twin turbo fits into a miata ?

The kit from mazsport.net is $3900.00 that has most of the main componets but you still have to get a motor. If you want to drop off your car and have him do everything it should be around 17 to 18 k. This is also doing the complete drive train swap to rx-7. you can put the motor on the miata transmission but this will limit the HP(about 250WHP).
As far as the 13b rew motor goes, the motor is the same size but the turbos would be the hard thing to fit. The picture below showes how close the clearance is on my 13bt. You would half to build some sort of custom exhaust manifold to move the turbos up on top. I'm sure it could be done but it would cost. Hope that helps.
