Quick Question:

I have been looking for performance parts for my Mazda 3 s. Does anyone have any good suggestions for or opinions about:

Exhaust (Magnaflow, borla, draxas)
CAI (AEM, Injen, KN)
Pulleys
Headers
Turbo
Throttle body/throttle body spacer?

Exhaust: Draxas
CAI: Any are fine but I have AEM
Pulleys: none available
Headers: Draxas (race only because it eliminates the forward cat)
Turbo: Hiboost
Throttle body: Never heard of an aftermarket ETB for any application
Throttle body spacer: for what purpose? (scratch)

i thought there was a magnaflow exhaust catback kit. no?

There is a magnaflow...the items in parenthesis are suppliers I have found.

I'm not saying there is or is not a Magnaflow system, I was just expressing my preference for Draxas. Draxas has cat-back and manifold-back systems, both at a good price and with premium quality components.

There is also a Corksport system but they've been having quality issues on the Protege systems, so I wouldn't buy from them.

How does the Draxas sound. I dont want an exhaust that sounds like a 12 year old with a hack saw designed it. I am looking for something a little quieter than a lot of the exausts i have heard drive by my apt.

The Draxas sounds good. Not like a fart can at all. If you do a search around the forum, I think somebody has sound clips posted.

Thanks for the link to the other thread...There was tons on info on exhausts there.
