Hey I just picked up a set of the "newer" E-Type bushings for my MSP rear swaybar. The TSB says to use a silicone paste to install them. What is that? What have you guys used for your Mazda bushings?

My only concern is the "teflon sleeve" that is in these compared to my old ones, and I don't want to use a grease that destroys the bushing...

Cheers!

Really any grease will work - just make sure you plaster it on as thick as you can possibly get it. Silicone grease or marine grease will probably hold up a little better to the weather but any thick grease will work.

I've heard white lithium grease works well..
I haven't tried it though.

Lithium grease is good. It's what I used on the AWR bushings. You'll have to reapply eventually, so be sure to use some anti-seize on the bolts holding everything in. I didn't, and learned the hard way. :(

I'm more interested in these "Teflon sleeves." Sounds fancy.

if you can pull down on the sway bar you need new bushings....if it only squeaks when you tug apply a silicone grease/paste....
