hey jw when ya'll traded in the stock potenza's on the msp (what mileage)? ...im at about 18,000 and one of them looks shit-bald and another is getting pretty worn. 18k just seems too soon.

18k... If u get new tires don't get Proxies 4. they suck in terms of handling.. but 300 treadware is nice

i'm at 23K with 3 autoXs and they need replaced within a month or so.

Actually the Proxes 4's are great for handling, with even treadwear and up to 32K miles if you don't have too many track days. You just have to run a higher psi to offset the soft sidewalls. Great in the rain and excellent dry grip with good feel and control at the limits for an all season.

29k so far...They look pretty bold .I love these potenza`s.I`m buying the same tires for my msp.

I ran 45 psi in all 4 and i still can't get them to feel like potenza's so i stop trying. The side walls are too soft and gives it that rubber steering wheel feel. I don't like it. I'm getting summer only tires when these are gone.

so 18k is a bit early perhaps? ok so the Proxie4s are no good according to one...what tires have people found that are good (and fit the rh's)? i personally did like our potenzas very much, but i can't say that ive experienced anything else (dunno)

bridgestone fuzions are cheap and good. i'm happy with mine. slightly less dry grip than the stock potenzas but definitely better in the rain. has a 320 tread wear rating too.

ok i guess it's not terrible. i prolly do abuse them more than i should on starting and cornering. i'll probably just go with the potenzas again if no one has a crazy suggestion?

I've got a set of these going on this week. Can't wait. I managed to squeeze 46k outta my stockers. Daily driven with mixed spiritedness. I prob should have changed them 10k ago.

I got maybe 10,000 out of them. That was with a lot of autocrossing and track time though. That was summer '03.

Same thing for my second set of RE040's in the summer of '04

I just bought some Fuzion ZRi's which have a higher treadwear. They won't be as good for autocrossing, but I'm doing less of that now that my pumpkin is getting old (60K miles)

27,000 before I bought a set of S-03's. Love them. Far better than the RE040's if you're willing to pay a bit more to get them.

As of now, I've got Mark 94's rims and am currently trying to kill the RE040's that were on them so I can get a set of RT-615's for Auto-X.
