Nice man! I'm interested in lowering my car and I was wondering how a car with no ground effects would look dropped and it looks pretty good!

I got everything on ebay. I paid $520 for the tein's and the tokico's. Thanks for the compliments. The install was easy, some bolts were being stubborn though, that's about it.

I bought mine here. Unfortunately, one is not on clearance like the other 3 and I got free shipping on mine when I bought them. Good place though.

Looks real good. I got mine from a member for $320 I think.

I had trouble with the bolt on top of one of the rear struts and I had to walk down the street to a tire shop and use their air gun. I felt like a jackass. When I finally finished up, I took it for a ride and noticed the ride was extremely harsh compared to the stock struts. Even though I had my CG coilovers all the way down, the ride wasn't as harsh with the stocks. The height went up a little b/c of the stiffness and the bump stops are thicker.

NegatiZE, you weren't too happy with the outcome of your blues at first either if I remember right? The drop wasn't as low as you was look for. I compared the length of the stocks and blues and noticed the blues are longer, hence higher height. I'm going with a new set of coilovers soon. The blues didn't give me the effect I was really looking for.

This is the set I'm going with next. Anyone with a set yet? I'd like to know if they're BS or not.

No, not at all. For some odd reason my ride height was *higher* than stock with my MSP Blues and Racing Beat springs. Check this pic out:

Now I have Eibachs. It's better but for some reason the rear is still not as low as I'd like.

When these bore me, I'm either going with Tien SS Coilovers or if I can get them (most likely not) the Mazdaspeed adjustables + springs (what TheMAN has)

Is there a pic of his car? I'd like to see how the drop looks.

hmmmm i have Tein S-tech too but my car is a bit lower than yours, probably because Im on stock struts. Your struts apparently dont allow the springs to go lower than they suppose to.

ok so now im really confused as to what struts i should buy.... looking at ur pics negatize I'm starting to think that the blues arent the way to go. but i dont want to lower on the stock struts with 60k on them, so should i just do gr2's and save money, or save more and get illuminas??

I think it's because I have the Mazdaspeed Protege version of the struts. If you buy the regular Tokico Blues you'll be fine. I haven't heard of anyone have any problems with those.

DONT get the GR-2's, they are shitty.

GR-2's are closer to stock struts....you can say they are direct replacement of stock struts, and act as stock ones.

Exactly. IMO it would be better to spend some extra bucks now while you are upgrading your suspension for more performance.
