K my car's been in the shop for almost a month for an ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel install.

Problem after clutch/fly install: Car starts but cannot get into gear, stepping on the clutch feels light and no resistance. We finally figured out that the ACT clutch kit, the Z66-HD-SS was supposed to be a Z67-HD-SS with a different release bearing. So we got a rush order from ACT since they screwed up with the part and not updating their catalogs and website. So after that was done, the clutch felt better but still can't get into gear.

Now the mechanic says the problem might be the flywheel since the pin dowels(?) are too short compared to the factory fly leaving no space for the clutch to release.

Now I know a few of you guys there have the same setup, did you encounter any problems? The only other thing we did was tried to change the shifter back to stock from an aftermarket SS.

Part number for the flywheel is 161721 code number F-16 (says on the box)

Any ideas... suggestions...

Swap the Flywheel back to stock and try it. I left my stock flywheel alone even with the MP5T Rebuild.

How Can he not see if the pins are lining up? I dont know about these trans, but I was a R and R guy for a trans shop many years ago and I know that you have set everything Sorta Speak certin way and the pins are just guides so if its no engaugeing the trans I would look at his install.. thats if you have the right part number!

I had the same set-up. Something I found that may have been overlooked is the stock clutch cover bolts are too long for the fidanza, you have to get bolts that don't bottom out before they tighten the clutch cover..... Just throwing out ideas..
