Will Kartboy shifter bushings work with a TWM shortshifter on a 00 protege?

yes, the bushings are nowhere near the shifter so youare good to go.

Do you really need to get the Kartboy shift bushings if you install a TWM short shifter? What is the purpose of the bushings?

Anyway... You don't need them for any of the shifters... but they help firm up the shift feel and give you better shifts. I finally just ordered and got mine recently.. need to install them but most people swear by them for improved shift feel.

Yea I just installed mine last night. It is a lot better feel. More solid.

I'm hoping to get mine in tonight... I have one of the worst trannie's too... good old MP3 trannie's.. yeah.. crappy :) LOL... so hopefully it'll help.
