I have seen a mixed bag of answers on the 225/45-17 fitment.
well I found a set of Bridgestone Potenze REO70 tires from an STI in great shape for only $200. That is less than 1 new. They are super sticky with some serrious tread blocks. So, I couldn't pass that up and got them.
my question is do you guys think they will rub on my MSP? has anyone got this setup? I have coilovers too so the car is lowered a bit.
whatcha think. I guess if no one knows then I will find out myself.

No idea but you might as well try. Report back here with results and post in our 225/45/17 fitment thread.

from what i have read, i think it depends on the tire
some are wider than others. but if it dioes rub it will be on the front side of the fender. and the wider part of the fender is only about 4 inches long. i rubbed a little when i got my rims and tires so i beat that back with a rubber mallet. fixed it right up

Tire deminsions off of Bridgestone site says....
Overall tire diameter Stock 24.6 70's 24.9
Tread section width 8.4 8.9
Dunno, I'm no guru but it doesn't sound too much bigger. I dig the rubber on the sti's, so I say go for it!
