View Full Version : Sedan vs Hatch Fog Light/Bumper difference

I just noticed that the sedans bumper molds the fog lights different that the hatch. Anyone else? And is it possible to swap bumpers?

from what i understand they are not compatible or able to be switched. like the mazdaspeed front bumper only fits the 5door so i doubt they are the same. Plus the bumper on the 4 door goes up and around the grille whereas the bumper on the 5door doesnt, the grille is part of the hood.

I wonder if thats the only difference and you could 'trim' it? Thanks for your reply though i didn't even notice that until i looked again at the pics.

well do you have te sedan or hatch? it MIGHT be possible if you have the hatch and want the sedan bumper to maybe trim down the part around the grille, but i am not sure

then it may be possible. I do know that the headlights are also different from the sedan to hatch, but I am not sure how. It may just be the shape of the top since the hoods are also different.

Hmm.. i'll guess i'll just need to take a trip to the Mazda dealership with em side by side.

I have serious doubts that it would work. Since all the body panels are different, it probably wouldn't match up on the sides or anything.

It would probably be easier (and cheaper) to get an aftermarket bumper designed for the car.

I agree! I personally like the hatch fog lights better tho..
