stock strut leak

so i had my rubber roated.. and well 3 of 4 struts are leaking...


i thought my rear end had dropped.... anyone know if this could have been caused by large dual12" sub enclosure? i doubt it.. jsut wundering how 3 are bad... both rear are leaking and there is a minor on the front as well.... is this a common thing?

Welcome to Tokico struts. We don't have alot of options with the Protege! I wish Koni or Bilstein made shocks for our cars. They are much better built. In the VW community nobody runs Tokico because they have a bad rep for not lasting. You are the first MSP I've seen with them failing.

If you have warranty, take it in to them and they should replace them.

no one said rubber coated... i said rotate my rubber as tire rotation... thats when they saw the leak(s)
