The students, from the Creapole School in Paris, have displayed their car at the World Automotive Design Competition in Canada; the competition invited teams to reinvent a classic budget car as a more upmarket global car with universal appeal. The lightweight Evoque keeps the basic snail-like shape of the original, but features keyless entry technology and LED lighting. Though, as an independent project, it's a long way from production reality, the Evoque is said to have caught the eye of Citroen's own design team and may have an influence on a future low-cost Citroen.
