I usually poke around these thread but have never registered. It seems that this group buy is long over (I'm just a little late huh?) but I still wanted one. I called up John at ETDRacing about doing another group buy same as Wesman II did. http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95187&page=1 - Old Group buy thread.

John said that he can do 15 exhaust again if were interested so I'm trying to Guage Interest here. They are normally $1240 US ($1499 CAD from Canada) but he said he can do the group buy for almost the same price as before.

He said $1050 canadian dollars shipped which is aprox $870 us. He said the price was $999 before (around $810 US) because they were all shipped from Canada but now what they are doing is shipping from Canada only for Canadian customers (like myself!) and shipping from US only for US customers so no more importing fees etc which will really make them cheaper for anybody importing the system. So basically all you pay is the $870 and thats everything shipped to your door.

So we have 15 total he said he can do if were interested. 22hp gain. Goes from 2.5" right off the turbo to 3". Apparently the 2.5" portion is less tahn 8" so it's goes into 3" really early and before the high flow cat which it comes with.

Call John at 905-953-9260 to leave your downpayment or you can email your CC info to him at john@etdracing.com. I left a downpayment today so hopefully enough people will come on and this will work out. If not I'm buying one anyway.

I had a pretty lengthy discussion about this with him so if anybody has questions feel free to post em here!

You sure about this? there's no pics of the downpipe? Seems like it's only a downpipe back system to me.

Rizzo, you are correct. The DP/S Pipe is not included. MAM and CS make a replacement for the stock one though.

if this is like the previous system sold here on the forums, then it's not a true turboback, but rather a downpipe-back system. it still yields great gains, but technically, it's not right off the turbo.

none the less its a bad ass exhaust and who ever buys one will love it. I got mine in the first group buy for it and I have been happy with it ever since the day I put it on my car.

I guess I ment to say it bolts up to the cast housing thats off the back of the turbo. That's a turboback in my mind but anyway...

Let me talk to John about that other price and see whats up...

OK heres the deal.

I spoke with John and the only Vibrant Exhaust systems in the country belong to ETD. That place cross over doesn't even have any. Their price is also now 799.99 plus $50 shipping..

John said he can do them for $800 shipped anywhere in Can or USA. (except Hawaii/Alaska)

There are only 15, and they are only available to ETD to sell. I called vibrant and asked them about the group buy and they also said the same thing that there are limited numbers of them and ETD has the lot right now.

So it's not a GB anymore and anyone can order them or if we get 15 people together we can get them for 800??

They are already $799.95 at *************.com. Whats the difference?

for him it will be a huge difference, the cost of shipping an exhaust to canada from the US and paying customs on it is crazy

unless crossover would have it drop shipped from Toronto which might be possible I guess :)

ProtegeJim are you on TOprotege.com?

No not on TOprotege.

The difference from crossover is they DON'T HAVE THEM. THey will not have these exhausts in stock for months now.

John already sold 6 of these units and has 9 left only. I have alredy secured mine so there is only 9 more remaining.

They are shipped from whatever country you are buying it from. I would have considered crossover, but they are $799.99 plus shipping and customs from the states plus a 12 week waiting period. ETD is $800 shipped, has 9 in stock left right now available and has made them available at that price specially for us. No customs regardless of where you live because they can drop ship from any location now.

Hope that helps clear up the difference.

This exhaust is worth it, I wouldn't trade mine for anything. And to clear up the little tift... it is s-pipe back, repeat, does not replace the s-pipe, but does replace the j-pipe, together (s-pipe and j-pipe) they make up the down pipe, so its like half dp back, but it is killer quality and sounds great. to replace the s-pipe is a lot of trouble for small gain, imo, I plan on it later but I am happy right now, except it hotter than hell here and I am getting heat soak like crazy, time to upgrade the ic.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Anyway the buy is on now, so feel free to call. I think there is 8 or 9 left now. (rockon)
