i got raped from insurance and i paid 6500 cash for the teggy, so i really didnt wanna put a downpayment on a new car with 2000 dollars rolling over from the mazda and have ridiculous payments for car i dont really wanna drive ya know, cause a newspeed 3 with that financing and my credit and my moms poor credit woulda been right back into 400 range..

instead i have 0 payments, 900 a year insurance, a faster, safer, more reliable (power and tuning wise) car with a good amount of potential to look amazing, minus the nice luxuries and low turbo lag of the mazda haha

but all in all, for a broke college kid, i made the right decisiona nd still have a really fun fast project car that i know will last me a decent amount of time, and its ahonda, so if something goes wrong, pull the turbo shit and motor swap it with the second b18 he gave me with the car

I made 280whp and 255wtq at 19psi on a b18b with a 18G turbo and a stage 2 ported head with 775cc injector with 94 octane fuel.

Maybe he made 370whp at higher boost with race fuel.

im glad it all worked out for you! i am actually highly considering getting rid of the speed3 cause if it werent for the car im sure id be in college like most 19 year old kids do and id have a shit load more money to drop into a car with little or no payments! maybe itll get stolen or totalled that could work out good i guess considering im gonna be going another winter on summer tires!

Here is my 2009 MGM MS3 GT. i bought it about 3 weeks ago and i already changed the rims, LOL. i had to get rid of the 19" chrome rims that the dealer installed. the 225/35 tire made the car unbearable to drive any where that didnt have a smooth road. i couldnt find a decent priced MS3 wheel set so i went to wheel dude and got hooked up with some G-forces in hyper black. i wrapped 235/40 Dunlop Direzza Z1 tires around them and for stock suspension the rear tires are really close to the fender...as of now i dont have many plans for this car at the moment. i have another toy that takes up all of my money but isnt a practical DD.


the sun went down too fast on me and i only have my cell phone to take pics with...my laptop doesnt have a card reader for my memory stick. I just got my PC today but i only have german plugs for it (bang)

COBB TIP and SRI. This was a great addition to the car.
Acceleration is so much smoother. It's way loud though, you can really hear the turbo spool up.

Hand made short throw shifter plate. Reduced the throw by 35 - 40%.
I also made a new weight to replace the factory shifter weight. This is the way the car should have shifted from the factory. It's really nice now.

The factory weight with the shifter plate was no good. The factory weight is 19.5oz, the weight I replaced it with is 12.5oz. Shifting is perfect now. I don't like short shifters but I had to have the short throw so this was the way to go for me.

Hand made short throw shifter plate. Reduced the throw by 35 - 40%.
I also made a new weight to replace the factory shifter weight. This is the way the car should have shifted from the factory. It's really nice now.
It was like driving a slot machine before.

Which reflector?

I purposely kept the purple to a minimum because who knows how long these wheels will be on the car. I've been through 3 sets in 18 months of ownership. I'm already looking at my next set and it could happen around November if my buddy takes these off my hands.

in the game you can apply 245-35's but i am not sure you can see the width difference in the pics (or in the game - i can't)

The cool thing is that the pics do a good job of representing the real cars so if you ever wanted to paint one up and see what it would look like the possibilities are endless.

235-40-18.. i get some rubbing sometimes in the rear but only because I have not rolled my fenders well enough. And it only happens when you go to fast over a speed bump or you hit a pot hole.

Aaaah ok....cuz i was afraid that I would buy the wheels and would start rubbing like crazy and not be able to rock my wheels because i dont have coilovers and not being able to adjust camber and watnot....

But i was thinking in getting 225/40/18 to stretch the tire a little bit more but not too much like drifting status....how stretched are yours?

225/40 on a 9" width wheel is okay. People do it all the time. 215 would be pretty insane but it's been done. 235/40 is like baby stretch.
