Hey guys,

SEan and I will get picks of the MP3 version as well. This exhaust has 60mm piping and 90mm tip size for the wagon.

The Sedan utilizes a 100mm tip size.

Here's some pics: Let us know what you think. This is by far the best sounding and the lightest system on the market.

Thanks, Rishie

List price: $680.00 mp3.com pricing is $580.00 plus shipping and surcharges where applicable.

ARD MP5,

Where did you buy the exhaust system? I called JIC and they told me it was $880.00....

Could you give me the website or person to call to get the deal that you got?

Thank you much!

Rishie,

Forgot to ask, how is the performance and the sound of the exhaust system?

Thank you,

We are the northwest coast distributor for JIC magic. The one that is $880.00 is a Stainless piping with Titanium canister.

the one we are offerring is the Stainless Steel 505SUS system. The retail prices are above as well as your club pricing. There are very limited quanitites available.

the sound is beautiful. And I'm a very conservative guy. It's a bit louder than the Racing Beat but doesn't fart like the Bosal. It's got great flow at all RPM's. Even when decelerating.

Rishie took me for a ride in his P5 and hot damn, not only does the exhaust sound very nice, but the FLT-A2's are fuggin amazing. He took me for a spin and probably scared the shit out of a passer-by in an oncoming lane.

The FLT-A2's are the suspension he has on his car. They'll set you back about $1800 I believe.

it looks just like the HKS too me. i still like the mazdaspeed the best for looks. i i could afford the Ti, i would go with JIC but for now, i am sticking with the cheap ole mazdaspeed

If you were to the 2 in person, there is pretty much no comparison. The JIC 505 SUS has pretty much no visible welds, it's pretty cool looking, The HKS on the other hand is just larger and the TIG welds are a work of art. So it's pretty much depends on what you want. I prefer the smaller, quieter JIC. Also, the JIC is offered a full catback which is all stainless. The HKS only offers the rear section on the P5 and doesn't offer anything for the sedan. The HKS rear section also costs about the same as the JIC 505 SUS full catback. So you guys will have to decide. I'd go for the JIC in a heart beat, it'll also be a bit more rare.;)

the hks is around $300 while the full cat back JIC is $580. that is hardly the same. maybe i missunderstood you. the $580 price is about normal for that system. rare trick has it for $585 and the axle back for $450. what is the point of having stainless under your car? if you show your car i see the point but otherwise i don't understand. if you got the cash go for it. other wise stick with the axle back. my two cents. by the way the semi Ti is $792. peace

Does anyone know about the power gains with this exhaust? Any Dyno charts?

Because it's probably lighter.. and won't rust out.

Believe me man, if anyone knows the price of the JIC it would be me. As far as the HKS goes, you really are wasting you money since it's not a full catback. But, since different folks have different strokes. Some people want looks and some people want an actual performance gain when they buy something. Anyone their right mind should know that a rear section has pretty much no HP gain. Even if it does, you're gains will be minimal (1-3hp). So why not spend the extra money and get a catback exhaust system. That's my outlook on this whole thing. Furthermore, you can't get the 505 as an axle back. By the way, I am very aware of the price of the 505ST.(wink)

i don't know guys, im just not "feeling it"
i like HKS a lot. great sound and great horse power gains. all i know is that i dont want a tip that i can fist #$%*. i like the size of the tip on that one but the muffler looks really bland like one of those they would sell on ebay.... i like the whole piping idea, sounds pretty. But, i havent decided to go turbo or N/A yet and if turbo is the case (which it probably will be) then id like a larger pipe and larger muffler. tell these guys that make it to allow a choice of muffler and pipe diameter, and ill gladly scoop one up for my mp3 this year

Well I would hope this exhaust places go ahead of show. Although it does seem like it has rather large pipes maybe better suited for turbo people? Dyno results would really help :D

 I guess I went unheard. Well, you do have a point there. What it all comes down to is personal prefernce and looks. Price of course has a lot to do with it, but if someone isn't feeling the design, it just won't work.

im not speaking of the HKS axle back.. it is indeed a waste of time and money. im speaking of HKS cat backs and the muffler sound and stlye in general.... id like this exhaust system, if there was an HKS muffler on the end of it. i also am liking the JIC, but i have never heard it before

I wish I had a video camera so I could take some shots of Rishie's JIC and get some sound clip of the exhaust. He needs to mount a camera on his P5 while he's at Thunderhill so everyone can get the full experience.
