today I was leaving my house and was making a u-turn at a light and I put it in 1st gear floored it and as I tried to shift to 2nd, my shifter just got stuck in 1st. put on the hazards and try playing with the shifter a little. it finally gave out and went into neutral after a couple of hard pulls. same thing happened with all the gears.
after a minute or do it finally loosened(sp?) up. I tried 5th and it happened again with all the gears. then it went to normal and I drove back home. now it's harder to shift all gears and shifting got a little louder.
any Ideas as to what might have caused this? has anyone ever had it happen to them? I am really hopeing it's not a big problem. the car has 67,000 miles right now
