Hi I need to rotate my tires for the first time and I want to know which tires go where. Are the stock dunlop tires directional meaning that the front tires can only be moved to the back tires and back tires brought up front or can I do an X pattern. Can anyone help me? Thank you

btw, if the tires are directional, it will indicate so on the tire. there will be arrows pointing in the direction that the tire should rotate when going forward of course.

Y'know, I hate to bash a nebie, but Toucci has really hit the nail on the head. I sincerely hope you would have read your manual cover to cover at least once before you even put the key in the ignition.

Hey be nice! At least he had the good sense to ask...which is more than can be said for a lot of people that wind up seriously damaging their cars
By the way, Welcome the forums!

If they are not directional, do the X-pattern swap:
right rear ---> left front vice versa
left rear ---> right front vice versa
If they are directional, swap the backs to the fronts.

I haven't heard the X-rotation for a very long time. I thought that was only for the now rare bias-ply tires, and for radials it's only the front/back swap.

My stock '02 LX Bridgestone Potenza RE92's have bias-ply tires.
The manual says to do the X-pattern swap.

Tire dealer where I go and in my former car's manual :
Directionnal : front to rear and vice-versa
Non directionnal : fronts to rear (same side), rear left to front right, rear right to front left.
I have directionnal tires on my P5, so I use the first method. Once per year I have the rear tires inverted on the wheels so I can install them on the opposite side of the car and still have them rotate in the right direction. Seems to even the tread wear.
