Well I got bad News........

well today just turned out to be a bad day for me......unfortuanetly......i was an a car accident today.....fender bender......more damage done to my car then the other.....

CF hood is destroyed.....CF grille is destroyed......HEadlights are busted and cracked......Front bumper is bent to hell and cracked like a mofo.......and the Front of the Frame around the engine is bent in toward the radiator.....luckily it did not puncture the radiator.....

as for the other car......only some minor scratches on the rear bumper.....and i think i broke one of the stock exhaust hangers on his car....but the guy did not notice.....

the police report estimate for my car damage - $2000......the report for the other car $500

and i also got a $115 dollar ticket for reckless driving......which is BS.....i was going 15mph and the dude locked em up.......so i locked em up and slide into him.....thanks to the lovely FL weather (FUCKING RAIN)

have pics on my cell phone....but im gonna take some with camerea tomorrow....will post em ASAP....so you guys can see the damage....

You don't have GAP insurance? That sucks.

I serisouly doubt that that much damage could be caused by hitting something at 15 mph, even if they were at a dead stop and you were going 15, much less if both of you had your brakes locked up.

you mean the radiator core support probably. it's the painted part that goes in front of the radiator and the headlights mount to

i slid going like 15 on ice into another car the other had $500 in damages my car only took some paint off the bumper so i consider myself luckey i guess, damn that was scary i thought i was done i think i hit it on the support though so i dunno. that sucks bout your car though

In other words, if you total your car and insurance gives you say $5k, but you still owed $8k, then GAP insurance would take care of the $3K diff. This shouldn't be an issue for you - your car isn't totaled.

I had an accident a few months ago...some idiot slammed on his brakes in front of me, and I hit mine and slammed into him pretty hard....everything in the car flew into the front, and I thought for sure it there would be some major damage...turns out there was none at all, license plate got a bit bent but thats it...I was actually extremely impressed with how well the car did in the accident...Ive seen bumpers get broken off from similar accidents...p5 gets another thumbs up....by the way I was doing about 45-50 when I hit the brakes.....still cant believe there was no damage...at least to my car(nuts)

P.S. sorry you didnt have similar luck...hopefully you can replace that stuff at a good price....

went to get an estimate from a local auto-body shop for the damage.....and unfotunately....they are a "service 1st" company with my insurance company.....meaning they dont do estimates.....they repair it automaticlly and send the bill to my insurance company.....and all im responsible for is deductible.....

so that means if they repair it....i get no check from insurance company....and i get all OEM parts again..... :'(

You might want to go to another body shop and have them look at it as well.

And yeah, you probably got screwed because you're lowered. A little higher, the front bumper would've absored the majority of the impact rather than the top of the bumper/grille area.

Then again, these days, if you hit a truck or SUV w/a trailer hitch, you're screwed. Ugh.

Doesn't look to bad, if I were you I would take off the hood, head lamps, and CF grill and than have them repair all the stock body work - which doesn't look to bad. Than order a new CF grill, hood, and get some of those canadian head lamps.

Find a shop that will do that for you, not repair the parts you want to replace. So they don't charge you for an OEM part that your going to replace anyway. Also is there any engine damage? It doesn't look to me like there would be, but you never know.

Also, the body shop is kinda messed up because what if your insurance decides not to pay for after its been repaired, or if the deductable is larger than just paying for it yourself and not dealing with insurance increase.

Scout for another body shop, they SHOULD give you an estimate.

took the car into body shop today.......the insurance company said they are going to replace everything on the car that was damaged.....so that means....all new CF parts....WOOT!!

Insurance company should have been like "well if you only have your oem hood on the car, which is what we are insuring, than the damage wouldn't have cost so much... so here is $5... oh yea, your due again for a payment, that'll be $13,000 after tax with your new rates, which went up"
