dont anyone use the glade plug in thingies on your center dash, it leaked down onto the silver trim and totally messed it up. i have been reading all the posts about painting them and that seems like a good idea. i came across the post with how to dismantle the center console but i cant seem to get the cup holders to pop out. i figure if im gonna do the console around the radio it would look better with the center console to match. any tips and idea on how to remove them and a good clear coat? no one mentioned the type of clear coat they used. i read a post that says to alot yourself about 10 hours for the process, i guess thats for the drying? is there a way to put everything back and do it over a couple day period? any feed back would be great,

Just yank it. It will un clip. Also instead of painting. Check us out at www.dgmotorsports.com CARBON FIBER.

Or Duplicolor it after sanding it with an 800 grit sand paper...preferably wet sand it...Use "seattle Silver" base and follow afterwards with a good coat of topcaot clear...you will like it and probably do all of your silver pieces.

I just painted mine today. I used 100 then 200,400,600 grit to prep the surface. I used "metallic silver" testors paint which is a bit brighter than the stock paint, but otherwise similar.
