hey guys, newbie to the forum here. quick question, has anyone replaced the stock grill with mesh? I would like to and need a plan of attack.-THNX!! (p5red)
u can get a mesh cover by using chicken wire. im sure some members covered there stock grill with mesh, just gotta do a search
are u looking to removing the stock grill completely and then putting the mesh? u talking about the upper or lower grills or both?

Yeah, i wanna take the old grill out. upper and lower. actually, have the upper out already. dont think i wanna cover the old one with mesh, dont wanna interfere with airflow.

It's actually quite easy man - for the bottom, I took the stock grill and cut out the black plastic mesh (keeping the frame). Then I took a piece of APC universal aluminum grill, cut and bent it to fit in the frame, then just used some thin wire to hold it in place. For the top, I took out the stock grill, made a patern with some paper, and then cut out the mesh to fit. I made the top of the grill to fit where the screws go in the bumper by the headlights. The bottom of the grill is just wired to the three little plastic nubs in the bumper. Its hard to explain - I'll try and get a pic that will help.

I don't like how when the hood is closed, the mesh is like, up under the hood.

well, until the army decides to give me an incredible raise or a car sponsorship, i'll have to save my pennies and use this as a means to steer away from the exceptionally nasty stock grill. Until i have the extra cash for the DGM, this'll have to do. Appreciate all opinions and advice-Doc (enguard) (p5red)

well im in the same boat as you, im in the air force. But id rather just keep the stock grille and save my money for a dgm, or just wait and buy other shit which is what i have been doing
