i want it for controlled boost and better efficiecy in low end for torque and still pulling more performance for the whole range, i am just waiting a year and then purchasing an rx8

If you're seriously going to purchase an RX-8 in a year, why spend the 3k? You'll never get it back in a sale or trade, esp.
w/o the A/C ...just seems like a waste of money to me.
If you're serious.

yeah, might as well wait 'till you get the RX-8. there is no point in purchasing the S/C. if you are going to be selling it next year.

Yea by the time the kit gets finished you will have sold your car.

yep, might as well just wait till rx8.

On the side note, you will always get more power outta turbo than S/C, plus S/C has a constant load on the motor, and seeing from supercharged Sentra's and Maxima's where motor dies faster comparing to having a turbo on there, I can assume the same thing for Protege's.

Yea, actually I wonder how the stock internals will hold up to these superchargers.

you got me on that one. Since WOMP s/c has been released to public just recently, there's really no statement to make on how much of an impact will this make on the internals in the long run.

as long as it's low boost, there won't be ANY problems the life of the motor

what kind of miles are gonna be on the car before you boost it?

right now I just rolled over 42,000 miles, and might I say I have a top portion of the motor with only 8k miles on it or so, due to factory defect (refer to my sig)

sounds like your motor is ready for a turbo, mileage is great.

hehe, one of the good things is, that I just paid off my guitar, so Ill have some money to spare now, as while I was paying it out, I had no money in my bank account because of it and other hardcore bills.

I already have Wagner Motorsports turbo manifold.....2 of them actually, one brand new (the one that needs to be sent out) and one used (just gotta send the new one out to get it machined, as the flange on the turbo side is a bit warped) and as far as turbo, Im getting T3....yea its older technology than GT series, BUT Im not in a position to spend shit load of money for GT-28RS.
