I assume that there is a lot of miles on your engines, maybe 90K?. Be careful.

PM a vendor. That would be your best bet.

Step 1: Get a new car.
Step 2: Modify that instead.
??
Step 4: PROFIT!

Or, you could swap in the FS-ZE engine for JDM +1 points if you had the money, or knew what you were doing.

yup...i came to that unfortunate truth....your better off selling that and modding something easier and more worthwhile....like a miata, or if you need 4 doors....a nissan sentra se-R

just an example

"I just spent $10k on my Geo Metro, luckly it's original."

vs.

"I just bought a stock used Corvette for $10k, sadly it's only a Corvette."

I want to stay original and the engine has 113+k miles on it. And as for the money issue well most of what I make goes into my car.

Reality? (scratch) I thought this was candyland, I want candy too!

LOL, I was driving behind a geo metro the other day and wondering what it would be like to mod the crap out of it. They must be pretty light, right?

haha. nice!
my buddy had a Suzuki Swift.. he was convinced it was the slowest piece of shit to have every driven on the highway, especially with 5 full grown adults in it. The bodies have potential, as they're so light.. the engines.. not quite as much

Its really not worth it. I payed $200 for an intake cause it was the only thing available for my 97 pro at the time. If you are deciding to go turbo it will have to be custom. But in my opinion doing an engine swap would be better. Get a BPT motor swapped in your pro. Its reliable and its not hard to make good power out of it.

check out clubprotege.com for more 2nd gen info. that's where I get all my info.

for a 1/5, you're going to have to do a lot of custom work. the aftermarket support just isn't there. If you get an exhaust hung, see if you can have them bend up an intake, or DIY it with some piping from home depot. I'm going to try my hand at fabbing some plumbing and a new air box.

You could always try and get a better motor. There were a few heads on cp that were turboing their 2nd gens, but it was all custom.

I know that my BP won't be killin' em in the streets (even with DOHC). I'm building it up to last a long time, rather than a fast time.

I got an APC cone filter for my Protege and just addin that noticed a huge difference in power. Example being this hill that I have to climb goin home from work I used to have to down shift into third just to accelerate and after addin the cone I was able to go up it and accelerate in fith gear, granted not fast but still it was pickin up speed (drive) And thanks for the web site.

And thanks for the web site.

No problem. Also, if you got the $$ see about importing stuff from the Phillipines and such. The have some serious 2nd gens over there.
