I'm currently running my car without the 02 sensor that goes into the downpipe plugged in. There's reasons for that but not important. How is this effecting my car? Will this cause any damage. I'm only planning on this for a week, but all information regarding this will be great. Thanks in advance. BTW the car sounds mean at WOT due to the 02 bung being open.

I happen to know for a fact that if you just take it out, the performance of the car won't change too much. However, after about 20 miles or so it may throw a CEL, if I recall correctly.
You can put a MIL eliminator on it. But if your capacitor shorts, your car will get pissed. Also, I know a friend that had his O2 heater short out, blow the fuse and cripple the car on the side of the road.

I know this first hand kinda ....I have been throwing a code for the past couple months for "no activity on o2 sensor 2". I have had it since I ran it to the muffler shop to get an o2 bung welded in the CS exhaust. I didn't think it mattered much so I just took out the bulb for the CEL light lol... I go through gas like no other in the city ,but highway miles are about the same as they have always been..
