ok so im driving throught the parking lot at my apartment complex and i see a 3rd gen protege. im looking it over its nice and clean and then i see the badge and it says SE? when did mazda make an se protege?

they built one in 1999. I dont know if thats the only year or not?

They made them in Canada up to '03 I beleive, they were selling enough of them since it wasn't much more expensive then a Hyundai.

What you saw could have been a car imported from Canada.
