yo i want to do a complete engine rebuild to my 00 mazda protege, starting with top end/valvetrain. where the hell do i find cams, gears, lifters, all that good stuff. I can't find them anywhere. So if someone knows where i can get these items, preferably cheaper, however ill do what i can; please let me know thanks.

For the 1.6l? You have two proteges? P5 is 2.0 only AFAIK.
If you have the 1.6l, I would just slap that hiboost turbo kit on it. Not worth it to do an NA buildup IMO.

I would just do an engine swap to the MSP engine, If anything.

ummm why ?? the HIboost kit pushes more power than a stock msp engine. and the internals in the 1.6 much stronger. so explain that to me.... im sure u can get alot of power out the 2.0 but it will take a lot of money to do so.
