you need to paint your grill black or something it looks soo out of place. or if theres one in existance get a carbon fiber grill.

Gambino

PLEASE put your stock hood back on. Carbon fiber in any form is about the ugliest thing ever.

some would say putting this much HP to a front wheel car is stupid as well....but theres a whole bunch of us waiting here. too each his own man, can't tell everyone what to like!

i went over toms house tonight and we both installed our cf hoods dude they look sick i dont know what some of you are talking about an hes got a grill so dont worry about that its all in the process the turbo its rediculous tho he took me for a little ride keepin it under 5rpms and it was still nice and the blow off is pretty beautiful nothing like a good long phhhhhhst to start the day offf lol i love it he did to he kept doing it lol it was funny but yea dont hate a playa hate the game

Im just a fan of one solid color on the whole car, CF is ok on black, but thats about it.

Im just a fan of one solid color on the whole car, CF is ok on black, but thats about it.only thing that didnt look good to me was how it surrounded the grill. if the grill was CF or Black then it would be alot better, which i think is being done since Micamazda3 said something about a new grill.

Micamazda3
06-25-2005, 11:07 AM
lol yup exactly he had to send the grill back because it didnt fit so hes waiting to get the other one in and then its getting painted and put on along with his body kit whenever that happens

So i was lying in bed last night and I had an idea for my car that might look good even though I generally dont like it. I have a white sedan and I think it would look good with a carbon fiber hood and black rims.

If I was giong to go cf, that would probably be the way to go. I actually think think that cf looks the best on white. There is a lot of contrast and that makes a clean, striking look.

Maybe paint the left and right sides of the hood, along the ridges, but leave the center stripped with bare carbon fiber with clearcoat? Dunno. I'm not much into asthetic things as much as I am into engine work. =)

What is this thread about again? Did we get on a tangent here? (boom01)

tsunami
06-28-2005, 10:13 PM
most deffinatly on a carbon fiber tangent... not a turbo... so king how you like it so far? how was the install? and when you going to open it up? (i.e. how long before the break in is done?)

In a year i will be putting 450whp down if i want so go race a mustang or something lol.

Agreed, no matter what NA ideas you have the turbo will ALWAYS be on top. good luck trying though, it's always fun to see the builds happening...like this one!

Also King, does Juan recommend ANY sort of breakin? or is it more of a break in for the driver to relearn how the car drives now?

Kinda redundant, but i think we all would. any time frame on when you think it will all be cleaned up and ready to go? Just as anxious here as we were when juan was posting #'s!

Yeah, all the prototyped stuff i got to keep, or get when they are done with final prodution...some stuff has taken 10 months to get back.

I've been looking for this Turbo kit for quite some time now, hoping Juan will hit up his CA shop to finally look at it soon. That's why i'm so anxious to see how everything has turned out. Juan is still waiting on the manifold for the 6, but i'd like to see some pics and vids in the mean time to tide me over as i wait!
