guys my car does not feel right , it hasnt .. lately ... the turbo feels non existant. I dont have any mods... most of you know this.. long story.. anyway... no boost guage either.. but look :
i used to hear the whislte slightly when it was fairly new.. now it sounds like its dying and whistles almost for 3500rpms.. this is the stock turbo... does this sound like turbo bad,, or its working real hard beacuse of a vac leak. is there a quick vac leack detector. I think there are testers at local auto stores would that work or is trubo bad/ goin bad... any sugestions please!
please if your gonna say dealer.. man they never help....

Vacuum leak would more than likely cause the turbo to spool too much rather than not enough. The only reasons I can think of that the turbo wouldn't spool are
1.) The exahust is bypassing the turbine (ie - manifold leak or wastegate is stuck open)
2.) The bearings are dead in the turbo.
Either way, take it to the deal ASAP. A lot of people have had stuck wastegate (including me) and it's covered under warranty. A dead bearing will be covered, too. Good luck with it.

hey thanks i also forgot about it being stuck open as a possi... i thoguth about that my self.. the reason i thought the turbo was shot was the bearings like you said.. could be dead.. the sound they made a few times was "wrenching"...
my dealer always tries to quick fix me and and never really acknoledges me or so i feel.. if i take it to their competitor dealer you think they will give me any better sevice and or issues with wty on my car..

take it to the place you bought it from. they might take better care of you since they know you bought your car from them, maybe not. it worked for me. otherwise, just go to a different dealer. goodluck.
