so in a few months im gonna get the forged internals from protege garage and take my MSP off the road for the winter.. by doing the rods and pistons how much can i expect to boost out of the stock turbo? i eventually want to upgrade the turbo but im gonna keep the t25 in there for awhile. is 14 or 15 psi a safe and reasonable number?

with all the other supporting mods and engine management, it should survive. don't know how long it will last, but you'll be making some good power.

ya ive got the turboback exhaust, hardpipes and about to install the hiboost fmic.. i have no engine management..just was wondering what kind of boost i can put once the internals are forged

I think the t25 will loose its efficiency after 15 psi. One of the things you should definitely look into is some type of fuel controler, and the fact that you will hit fuel cut.

oh yes good point with the fuel cut? the FC is designed to protect the engine mostly right and not the turbo.. so i can forge the internals and get some kind of fuel management and jsut an FCD and should be allset

with proper engine management a fuel cut defensor will not be required

emanage requires a decent deal of work to make run properly on this car. the DSM AFC is a fine unit from what I have read.

if you are going to spend the money to do internals, you might as well spend the money on complete engine management or it is somewhat of a waste of time and money. just throwing stronger rods and pistons under the hood is not going to give you a blank check for boost.

don't forget about getting larger/extra injectors. people are maxing out their injectors around 10psi so if you plan on running 15psi injectors are a must.

whats a good engine management system i should look into if i forge the internals..also what else would i need besides injectors?

has all your ems options from the splitsec psc1 (dsmAFC) to full standalone AEM.

that list still hasn't been updated and isnt' fully accurate...

Engine managements out there are the air flow logisitcs, Haltech, Microtech, AEM, and MPI. If you are going for cost efficiency I'm a fan of the MPI. We offer the cheapest standalone with the Microtech.... but you have lots of options.. and they all have pluses an minuses.
