well my car has been broken and in ruins for 6 mths and this thread is about it coming back together.
STEP 1: NEW TURBO
it is a T3/T04 ball bearing turbo with a .57 trim. this turbo is apx 1 in bigger comp housing and the ex housing is offset diffrent then my garrett t3/t4 making installation a bit of a pain. But i got it on with the exception of the intake pipe which i am waiting on a 3-3" turbo techniques.

well i got it started, it runs, i have not driven it yet due to the fact i need to do an oil change this afternoon and get 1 new clamp for my oil return line and tighten a small exhaust leak but all in all it seems fine. my egt's are high at idle i think. they are like 600 and i dont know what it was before because i didnt have a guage(any comments on this will help). so now it is back to tuning my mpi........
plus my interior is all back together and i will take pics later

I assume you're talking celsius? That's 1100*F at idle. That's fine.

well the weather held me off from doing my oil change today since i dont have a garage but i have been loading my mpi sofware onto a new laptop and researching the software more all day so i will be ready to tune once the car is running. it is defiently nice to have everything coming together finially since my car has been broke and ripped apart for a few mths awaiting parts and money.
thanks for the comments.

well i got my oil changed/led undercar kit installed/and nitrous line half way routed. so after work at 8 am i will throw a filter on my turbo and then finially drive a little. plus the stereo ports and sealed in and everything is firmly installed awaiting 0 guage pwr wire and 10ga speaker wire plus a 50 faraht(sp?) cap which are in the mail........ anyway everything looks the same except for the led's so here is a pic of them during dusk on constant. they are cool because they have a remote and alot of diffrent variations of patterns.

anyway here are some pic's of that

can anyone send me the link to the thread where they say why its bad to have it too high. i can understand why its bad to have it bolted to the floor but i cant really imagine why its bad when its too high.

just check my harness bar thread, i started it so the search is easy. no it is not resolved yet, i have been working on getting my car running and have not had a weekend to make a new bar yet... once the car runs good and i can drive it (not trailer it) to my friends shop i will have a new harness bar. until then this one will have to do

your car is still looking nice. i liked it so much more when it didn't have the body work to it, such as when it looked stocked. did u just take the amble reflector off ur headlights, or did u buy the headlights that corksport sales. im thinking about blacking out my headlight surroundings, but i will only do it if i decide to get some black wheels. i still think ur protege is the best es around.

thanks, i didnt mind the stock front but i needed more airflow to my intercooler and the stock es front end just didnt cut it...... the headlights i just bought new ones that were blackened out already. thanks for the compliments once again

ya i decided to go a little bigger.... i have more lag in first and need to be around 5500 rpm to boost)which i dont mind since i get less tire spin) and once i shift to second i am at 11 psi instantly.....
