Protecting the Racing Harts from scratches and chips?

Anyone got any tips on protecting the rims from getting scratched and chipped up?

Thanks to a major f'up. I won't get my winter rims for like 3 more weeks. Around here they use sand on the roads to melt ice/snow. Killer is, sand chips the rims. I've already got a couple of small chips on them.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion is move down south where it only snows about once every 5 years. Just kidding, I have no idea what you should do. If I had to drive on ice I sould definately crash! :D

I think i am running outta time to get my winter rims............I am trying to save money but winter is right around the corner............I am in NJ and it is starting to get cold as shit here every day.

I know that the snow is only about a month away, and i don't want my poor wheels to get all dicked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where can i purchase some winter wheels w/tires??????

can someone give me a straight answer on what size wheel and what size tire to buy????

there is not usually a whole lot of snow in my area, but when there is the salt trucks are always on the prowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(if it snows too hard, i plan on staying at home............)

Tirerack.com. Pretty easy, you put in your car model (yes they have MP3's in their database) and they give you a selection of rims and snow tires that you can order, pre-mounted and balanced, so you can just throw them on your car when you get them. I've never done the winter tire thing on previous cars, but, I've bought tires there before and have always been really satisfied. (usually got the tires for 35-50% of what they cost at places like Just Tires and NTB; even after shipping) Hope this helps.
