turbo, intercooler for sale

If though indeed hes a good seller it would be pretty good for parts, but why would you want to swap it with the current 3rd gen motor? Motor is exactly the same in all 3rd gen Protege's, the 2 differences are: the turbo as its a msp motor with turbo, and the transmission. Transmission in msp is different from all other 3rd gen protege's. well I should say its 98% the same as all other 3rd gen protege's. If i would need just spare parts I would get it, but other than that I dont see the reason to swap the whole motor

well as far as turbo kit.....look at me, my custom boost project will cost me just a bit over 3700 maybe 3800 at most and ill be running only 6psi on it. Will be owning stock msp's. and it should put me in mid to high 14's

Yea but for that amount you could get a turbo kit off an msp and upgrade it, and could probably hit 210 whp, and its sleeper. I probably won't go over that price for my project.

very true also,however i'd rather just buy a kit that gets me to that power without having to upgrade, also i whole heartedly plan to stay pretty stock looking like i said i hate the msp and mp3 guys (not on the forums) around me ,mp3's i can and already have beaten a few times, i can't take an msp obviously, but i want them to know that yes i paid 5G's for my dx protege and it just smashed them lol

stock msp turbo (gt25) is pretty small, and doesnt have potential for the power as T3 or GT28RS. I'd love to have gt28RS but for that price i rather not. Dont get me wrong, why GT series turbochargers cost twice as much as T series? thats just because they are ball-baring based turbo's and are redesigned for better efficiency, but for that price no thanks. Plus T series like T3 .60 trimm for example, is a nice size turbo which has alot of potential on a protege (example...Kooldino's mp3). T series cost from 500 to 700 bucks deppending on the size, and GT series cost from 1100 bucks to freaking 2000 or something.

yes, if you're looking to max out the protege definitely don't go with a msp turbo.

yea man definetly not the way. just to compare stock T25 to T3.....When running 6psi on T3 you would have to boost about 9-10 psi on T25 in order to achieve the same amount of hp, as stock T25 on msp is set to 7psi from factory. Quoting Kooldino

I lost all respect for msp's lastnight and i'm sooooo glad i bought a regular protege instead of paying $10,000 more for the msp,
i raced one and it wasn't "alot faster"(i say this sarcastically) than my dx ,1st gear i was actually ahead of him 2nd still ahead mid 2nd is when i could finally kinda hear the turbo and he started gaining by top of 2nd he had his front door at my front tire 3rd he never pulled any farther than than my front tire then we shut it down as we were going close to 60 in a 35 zone Now i'm guessing he couldn't drive because i figure he should'a beat me by more than this.....or worse yet maybe he shouldn't have beat me by anymore than that? in which case i again say i'm soooo glad i didn't waste $10,000 more on that car than mine... still kinda sad though, please someone tell me that car should be faster than that,
i know its built more for handling than flat out speed but com'on it shoulda beat my car worse than that!!....now i just can't wait for my hiboost kit!!

then the original owner did some stuff that i dont know about.
when i changed the oil i noticed that the wastegate was an anodized blue color.
also the bypass valve says Vortech and the fuel rail is a billet rail with the name
Billy Gharam ingraved in it. and do the msp's come stock with a boost gauge and an air/fuel gauge where the ashtray and cig. lighter are supposed to be? im lost now. and should i be worried mine is at 10psi. i had some other stuff swapped out of my old lx into this msp like the cam and the mounts.

As I stated if you woulda read the post i figured he couldn't drive and i said it wasn't alot faster sarcastically i know that car is faster than mine hence the reason i'm going to turbo my car but i still don't regret not paying 10g's more for that car

i guess i kinda worded that wrong, i meant i hate the drivers of msp's Around here(Not talking about anyone on here) like i said in earlier posts the guys around here that own msps for the most part are dicks that treat regular protege drivers like their the scum of the earth and thats how this guy was and it was just funny to hang right with him (because he couldn't drive) i'm coming from the finacial angle also msp=around 15g's (when i bought my car) mine i paid 5g's for+turbo kit around 8-9g's to me it was more worth it this way i'm not hating on the car itself i love em, i just hate people around here that drive them for the most part

either that msp driver was just toying with you, or he just couldnt drive for shit. MSP's trap at low 15's 1/4 mile. Stock protege traps mid 16's. As I did 16.3 with just a ebay SRI, and then with all my current mods with header and UD pulley which i already sold, I trapped at 16.03. With T3 turbo at 6psi good driver will be able to get into mid 14's.
