Installed PIE converter for Ipod

I installed the PIE converter in my stock radio for my Ipod. It works great! (headbang) But was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off the flashing "1" that appers next to the EX symbol? I think it's flashing because its waiting for "cd 1" to start playing (the pie converting is thinking that its hocked up to cd changer).

Also, does anyone know if there is an application to control my Ipod using the steering wheel controls? (the sound works, but you cant change to the next song)

I installed the pie adapter..but how do you select it from the stock headunit? Which button do you press to enable it?

you press the cd button twice (if you aren't already on cd) until ex 1 comes up.
